Shipping Information
I have been shopping on the internet for oh-so-many years. Shipping has always been an important consideration for me as it adds to the total price of an item.
In my experience some vendors have a very reasonable price when I do my comparisons and then shock me with the shipping costs. Conversely, some vendors will incorporate shipping into the price of a single item and, if I purchase multiple items, the seller only sends one package. That means I am missing out on the shipping discount. Thus, my shipping dilemma and how I have determined MY shipping costs.
The USPS has a padded envelope that is the same price whether I ship one item or fifty items. The envelope also goes priority mail and gets to you in 2 or 3 days. I also don't have to stand in line at the PO to pay for shipping. To me, that is a win-win for both of us. You know in advance what the price is and there are no add on's and I don't have to stand in line.
So, at this point, I have chosen this option. If you have other suggestions I am open to considering another way. Please contact me if you have any thoughts.
I have metal allergies. What options do you have for me?
Nickel is the most common cause of skin allergies. Since it is used in so many things it can have a cumulative effect. According to Web MD, you will notice an allergy to your jewelry within 12 to 48 hours. Itching, redness, a rash, dry patches, swelling or even blisters are possible symptoms. If symptoms become severe see a doctor right away.
Stainless Steel can sometimes cause a skin allergy because it may have trace amounts of nickel. Your allergy response will depend on how sensitive you are.
Brass is usually the base metal in most of my jewelry. It is then coated with other metals to add color or protection. This may not be a foolproof protection if you are highly allergic. The only time this will be an issue is if it is in direct contact with your skin and is exaggerated in the presence of moisture (sweat). Most of the pieces that make up your earrings do not touch your skin and will probably not be an issue.
There are many examples of nickel free jewelry and most of them come in the expensive category. Since I want you to have the piece you want, I can, at no additional charge, put any piece on a stainless steel hook. The problem is that stainless comes in only one color... silver and, as stated above, some stainless does have trace amounts of nickel. My stainless hooks do come with gold, copper, silver or gunmetal, coils/balls to match your piece but most of the hook will be silver colored. My supplier does not claim that their stainless is "surgical" grade but the hooks are stainless steel.
My second option is to put your piece on a niobium hook. Niobium is a pure metal and is naturally hypoallergenic. Because it is expensive (but less so than silver or gold) I have had to tack on an additional charge. Niobium usually comes in exciting colors as it is anodized. I have included in the drop down menu the colors that I have readily available. As I get better at selling on the web, I can add fuchsia, black and aqua as well as colored wires with gold or silver coils/balls. Contact me if you want to pursue this option. Good service is always my priority knowing that I have a happy customer is a big motivator.
I want that earring but in a different color. Do you have other options?
Yes. Please contact me and I will see if I have/can get the gems you like.
What is your refund policy?
If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, I will replace it with anything of equal value. You must contact me to advise me of the issue and return the piece postage paid.
I do not want unhappy customers. I will do whatever I can to make you happy. Thank you for giving me the chance to turn YOU into a happy customer.
